Which World of Warcraft race and profession do you recommend for a new WoW player?

since you chose those a few levels into the game. Personally I think horde is more fun after having tried out both. Higher cool factor IMO but you have to be okay with being slightly “evil” (except for tauren). Also note that some of the classes are only available to certain races so that may influence your decision. Also pick something that you think looks cool since you’ll be staring at that character for a long time…

(Also remember you can have up to 8 characters so why not try out a bunch on different servers?)

Note there are 4 basic types of character:

Tank: warior, (paladin, shaman)
Healer: priest, (druid, shaman)
DPS: rogue, warlock, hunter, mage
Hybrid: druid, shaman, paladin

(Tank means someone who takes hits and keeps the badguys’ attention; DPS is damage per second – high damage classes).

And your role will determine how you play through the game in groups. Hunter is a great choice for first timers because you get to tame pets and they can keep you company if your hesitant about joining guilds and groups. On the opposite end Priest is probably the toughest to solo since your mostly a healer and unless you have tanks and dps to support you you won’t get far as easily. http://www.igegolds.com

Guild Wars or World of Warcraft?

I just got a new laptop for christmas and am very excited to use it! I have always wanted to play rpg games like Guild wars or WoW. I have heard very good reviews about both of them but i only want to buy one. So my question is, should i get Guild Wars or Wow? please explain why i should get one over the other. THANKS!

Both can be a lot of fun playing. An important issue is, how much money are you willing to spend on it? World of Warcraft requires a monthly (or annual) subscription, so it will cost you money every month. Guild Wars will only cost you money once (I recommend buying “Guild Wars: The Complete Collection”, which includes all 3 expansions), and after that you can play it whenever you want, without being charged anything extra.

But with regard to gameplay, both are very different. Depending on what you are looking for, you may like WoW better or you may like GW better. I highly recommend reading some online reviews first, before you choose on over the other.

i got the battle cheast pack and i got the 10 day trial and now im trying to play and it has an update but my anti viruss is not letting me download the updates. it says in order to finish i have to restart my computer. why is it doing this? is it happening to other people. and i Viewd the details and it says high risk, do i have to take the game back?

I’m saving up some money to pay for a few months of WoW. I checked around and learned that GameStop is selling the WoW Battle Chest for 20 bucks on Black Friday, so I’ll try to buy the game then.

Doesn’t hurt to play the trial.

In fact – I would even advise – play the trial with one class for 10 days, then sign up for another trial and play a different class for 10 days. Just keep playing the trial until you have found a class/race/realm combo you are happy with – then subscribe with that account when you buy.

World of Warcraft, Warlock Professions?

Hi all, ive just started playing WoW, ive decided to run a warlock as my main and now that ive hit lvl 20 i want to pick up a profession;

at level 20 you should already be well up on herbalism. with herbalism you can do inscript. without herbalism, you have to buy the herbs. kinda crazy paying (too much) for low end herbs. so, go tailoring. can make some good gear that you can use.

World of Warcraft classes?

Ok i have been playing WoW for about 1 month and cant seem to like the classes i chose after about a few days. The class i want is a faster lvler but great in PvP. But can also take some damage. Also i want something that i can take out and not always have to worry about dieing and asking people to help me lvl. So plz give me some helpfull hints before i waste another $15 on a new month. PS i love to do deadmines. HEHEHE

hunters are easy because you have a pet to take basically all damage for you. their great in pvp because they deal so much damage. [i have 70 hunter ] and apparently warlocks are pretty good too..i’m not too sure, i’ve only played a hunter and a priest and i’ve been playing for over a year now.

i think the gems you are talking about are Meta gems that can only be equipped in the head slot of your gear. If a meta gem has the requirement “2 blue gems and 1 yellow” that means that for the meta gem to work, overall, equipped in your gear (doesn’t matter which slot) you have to have at least 2 blue gems and 1 yellow. The combination it says is probably the fact that you can equip purples for example, and they count as blues or reds, or greens, oranges that count as yellows too. So if you have any combination of these (let’s say for example you have a chestpiece with 3 gem slots and you equip one blue one purple and one orange) then you can use the meta.
